First session Wednesday 29th March 2023
Free presentations covering all aspects of Advanced Riding given by Doug Miners, ex-police advanced driving and riding instructor, now Driving Standards Lead for SWASFT. Doug is an IAM RoadSmart Advanced Riding/Driving Test Examiner and covers the Advanced Riding Test in his presentations. The series of talks are spread over 3 weeks and each session covers different aspects of Advanced Riding. The first session starts 19:00 on Wednesday 29th March at Dorchester Rugby Club. The second is on the 5th April (19:00), followed by the third on the 12th April (19:00).
Doug’s delivery of the subject is both informative and enjoyable, and laced with cop-humour.
These sessions are supported by Dorset County Council in their work to improve road safety and the ever-vulnerable motorcyclist.
The sessions are open to both our membership and the general public. They are aimed at anyone who is interested in motorcycling. The sessions are free of charge and no prior booking is necessary, however they are very popular, so early attendance is recommended and please be seated ready for a prompt 7pm start.
