Summary:

This promises to be a great motorcycling tour, no matter if it’s your first time touring Wales or you have been many times in the past – it never fails to deliver fantastic riding experience and enjoyment, plus wonderful tour camaraderie.

It’s an 8 day tour, 7 nights overnight accommodation, all B&B inclusive, single occupancy but all in en-suite double rooms throughout. The full 7 nights, B&B inclusive cost is £605 (averages at £86 approx a night) or £665 (averages at £95 a night) if occupying one of the 3 standard en-suite double rooms at The Maesmawr Hall Hotel, Caersws.

The maximum of number of tour places available is 8. This is because it has proved a real challenge identifying good hotels, in the right locations, not overly expensive, with en-suite double rooms available for single occupancy (but without occurring excessive costs), breakfast included, with free Wi-Fi, in-house bar and restaurant able to provide dinner each evening, and just as important, safe, secure on-site parking for bikes. Some hotels only had ‘box type rooms’ available for single occupancy, some with a shard bathroom – naturally I declined.

Persistent paid off and I managed to identify 3 good hotels, with all 3 offering group rates (cheaper than normal residential B&B rates).

NB: It may be possible to increase the number of places available by 4, but this would have to be on a shared twin room or a pillion plus partner sharing a double room, with all 3 hotels able to offer additional accommodation to match the tour numbers.

Those who wish to join the tour are requested in the first instance to notify Brian Purnell (contact details shown below), on a first come, first served basis, no later than Wednesday 1st March 2023. Thereafter, I will collectively follow up with each tour member advising them on hotel accommodation payment arrangements. As a heads up, when confirming each member’s tour booking, a £50 deposit per hotel will be required (£150) with each tour booking, with the balance due at a date to be further advised when detailing hotel payment arrangements, including each hotel’s cancellation T&Cs. Further info on this arrangement to follow.

NB I have secured hotel accommodation at all 3 hotels using a personal credit card.
