Membership Training Session
June 25 @ 09:00 - 13:00
Post Test Membership Training sessions are a great way to gain some one-to-one training for new skills, brush up your riding or get a taster of what further Advanced Riding Qualifications will bring you.
We will meet at Starbucks Cafe on the Granby Links Industrial Estate (DT3 4FL); the session will run from 0900 and finish around 1300. It goes without saying, but please come prepared for 2 – 3 hours of riding.
Post Test Membership Training is open to current Full members (i.e have passed the IAM RoadSmart Advanced Rider Test) and provides the opportunity to develop riding skills or to prepare for additional IAM RoadSmart qualifications. All training is delivered to current IAM RoadSmart standards, supplemented with the Highway Code and Police Motorcycle Roadcraft, all of which provide good preparatory reading!
You will be assigned an Observer with the appropriate Skills, Qualifications and Experience, who will guide the training session, provide a de-brief followed up with a written report and a recommended development plan.
Training opportunities include:
- Advanced Rider refresher
- Masters Taster
- Preparation for:
- F1RST Test Pass
- Advanced Riding Test re-assessment
- Fellows 3 yearly re-assessment
- Specific Motorcycle Roadcraft Skills development:
- IPSGA, Ride Planning, Anticipating and Prioritising Hazards,
