| Destination: | A scenic ride through the Dorset and Devon countryside, for a coffee/comfort break at the Aviator Café, Dunkeswell airfield. Dunkeswell was opened in 1943 and used by the RAF. It is now a busy airfield with light aircraft, microlights and people throwing themselves out of perfectly serviceable aircraft. It is then on to Darts Farm, a sizable retail centre with stores selling West Country produce, including foodstuffs and clothing. After some lunch, we will then head back to Dorchester along the old Exeter Coast Road, with the final section either through Beaminster of Lyme Regis – traffic dependent. This ride is very suitable for riders with pillions and associates cleared by their Observers. Bring your panniers & Top Box for some Christmas goodies! |
